Turn on AI control and an assistant running on your computer — Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor or any MCP client — can do anything a listener does, and much of what a librarian does. Ask it to build playlists from your likes and history, fix tags across hundreds of tracks (in the library or written into the files), organise folders into a clean Artist/Album layout, save lyrics and covers next to your music, download tracks from your server or through download plugins, and swap low-bitrate copies for better ones in place. It can answer questions about your listening history, run playback, queue and radio, and use your installed plugins as tools too. A private control server runs on your machine only (127.0.0.1, token-protected), and the bundled MCP server presents it to assistants as typed tools. Deliberately bounded: anything that touches your files needs its own opt-in switch, moves and file swaps are planned and shown first, it can never delete files or install code, and every change is logged.

Your likes, on every device

Like and dislike tracks, artists, albums and tags — then carry that taste to another PC or profile. Export it all to a file and import it anywhere; because likes are matched by name, they re-apply cleanly even to a differently-scanned library. The merge is safe to run both directions — it only ever overwrites an older like with a newer one, and never deletes. Signed in to Last.fm? Pull your loved tracks straight in — once, or automatically on a schedule.
